Dardia® - Patented Hypoallergenic Formulation

Avoiding cosmetic frills

Even if you are not prone to allergies yet, you can’t exclude the possibility that your skin might eventually react to a substance.

It has been shown that 2-3 % of the general population are allergic to ingredients found in skincare products and cosmetics. This figure rises to 10 % when considering patients who consult their dermatologist about an eczema that might be allergic contact dermatitis.

Free from perfumes

Fragrances are the most frequent cause of allergic reactions in skincare products. In excess of 100 fragrances have been shown to be allergenic. The most common ones are: [1]

  • Oak moss
  • Isoeugenol
  • Cinnamal

None of the Dardia® products contains an added fragrance. However, they all have a pleasant, neutral odour derived from the high quality of the ingredients they contain.

Free from preservatives

After perfumes, preservatives are the next most common allergenic ingredients used in skincare products. Skin reactions are most often caused by:

  • Methyl(chloro)isothiazolinone
  • Methyldibromoglutaronitrile
  • Formaldehyde donors, e.g. quaternium 15 and DMDM hydantoin.
